Caitlyn Pesl, Membership Director
Caitlyn Pesl, a Houston Texas-native and all-around southern gal, comes from a big family in a small town. She was raised with strong values and groomed for hard work. Addicted to people who make her smile, Caitlyn never turns down the chance to make others laugh.
She is a recent graduate from Texas State University – San Marcos, Texas where she earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mass Communication. She spent her college years becoming involved on campus and in the local community. Caitlyn held several leadership titles for the executive board of PRSSA, an organization for her major at Texas State. While in school, she took an unpaid internship with a local non-profit it Kyle, Texas. Her hard work there had a definite influence on the community and gave the organization more publicity than it’s ever had.
Her senior year Caitlyn was able to take a position at a production company in San Antonio as an assistant and researcher in the spring. The connections made at the company lead her back home and to her first career, a marketing team leader for the popular energy shot, 5-hour ENERGY.
Caitlyn wasn't able to stay away from the hill country and central Texas for too long, however. She happily re-joined the Kyle, TX community in June 2012 to begin working with the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce as the Membership Director.
Christina Tellechea, Office Manager
Born and raised in Miami, FL, Christina graduated with Honors from Florida International University with a B.A. in English Literature and minors in Anthropology and Art History. Christina fell in love with the small, charming town of Kyle, TX and in the summer of 2010, purchased a home with her boyfriend, Max. She began working for the Kyle Chamber in March 2011 as a temporary Office Administrator and became a permanent member of the team in July.
Christina creates and distributes the weekly newsletter, provides support to Kyle Chamber committees and Board of Directors, handles all requests for information regarding membership and relocation, and helps plan and execute Chamber events.
Jennifer Shira, Marketing Specialist
A true Austinite, Jennifer was born and raised in South Austin before heading to Seguin, Texas for college. There she attended Texas Lutheran University and received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus on Business, Marketing and Sports Management.
Immediately following graduation, Jennifer accepted an internship with Spurs Sports and Entertainment in San Antonio where she gained valuable experience in marketing, coordinating events and game operations. Since then she has lived in New Braunfels with her fiancé and continued to work for the Spurs and Rampage as well as in the Parks and Recreation department for the City of New Braunfels.
With family and friends living in beautiful Kyle, joining the Kyle Chamber of Commerce felt like the most natural decision for this step in her career.
Kimberly Flores, Marketing Intern
Born and raised in San Antonio, TX, Kimberly is ready to take on the world. Currently a senior at Texas State University, she is a candidate for a B.S in Mass Communication. She specializes in electronic media and currently works for Texas State’s Marketing and Promotions department as a videographer.
Her first major accomplishment was earning an Associate’s Degree from San Antonio College, making her the first in her family to ever receive a college degree. Right after obtaining her degree she was hired as the Directory Coordinator for the Archdiocese of San Antonio where she completed the Official Catholic Directory of San Antonio. Between working for the Archdiocese and attending Texas State University, Kimberly volunteered her time at a local radio station in San Antonio. Once completing the Official Catholic Directory, she was hired at the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio to work in Telecommunications. She also spent her time interning for the Foundation Department and the Marketing and Promotions Department.
Aside from her current job at Texas State University, she is involved with the National Broadcast Society and the National Association of Hispanic Journalism at Texas State. On her free time she serves as the Technical Director for Bobcat Update, Texas State’s newscast, and as a News Reporter for KTSW 89.9 San Marcos. She joined the team at the Chamber of Commerce in Kyle this month.
