DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain a clean, professional appearance in compliance with the company dress code.
Arrive by the scheduled start of each shift.
Interact professionally with landfill customers.
Obtain necessary information from the outgoing attendant at beginning of shift.
Monitor the radio and respond to all official radio calls.
Secure all collection records, cash, checks, receipts and ticket books in the appropriate locations.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work efficiently and productively with minimum direct supervision;
Ability to identify the size and type of collection;
Ability to measure non-standard trucks and to compute the size of their loads in cubic yards;
Ability to identify hazardous and special wastes;
Must be able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS);
Basic computer and internet navigation skills;
Basic math skills;
Must pass the waste screening test after one year of employment (company trains); and
Must satisfactorily complete two to four hours of monitored observation in a gatehouse office;
