Peak Physical and Sports Medicine Center of Kyle is pleased to offer outpatient orthopaedic services for the Buda / Kyle area. Peak is a locally owned and operated clinic by Kevin Walker who has been practicing in the Texas Hill Country from New Braunfels to Kyle, since 1997. Peak is established on providing quality, individualized healthcare, utilizing the latest technology coupled with a hands-on approach. We feel, at Peak, it is important to provide rehab services in a friendly, comfortable, professional, and relaxed atmosphere, helping you reach your utmost potential with attaining your goals to return to a higher quality of life.
After undergoing a thorough initial evaluation to focus on the source of your diagnosis and problem areas, we establish a specific treatment plan to assist you in reaching your patient-centered goals. Kevin has an undergraduate degree in education from Baylor University and applies those education principles to inform patients about their condition and appropriate treatment plan. Therefore, patient education is at the core of the treatment approach. We will utilize therapeutic modalities, neuromuscular and manual techniques, and therapeutic activities / exercises to help in your recovery, along with our state-of-the-art equipment, including Dartfish™ Video Analysis when warranted.

Kevin grew up in the Texas Hill Country, graduating from New Braunfels High School in 1987 where he was a multisport athlete in Football, Basketball, and Track. Kevin attended Baylor University, completing a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training in 1992. Kevin competed on Baylor’s Track Team in the 400 Intermediate Hurdles (IH) as a 4-year Letterman and Team Co-Captain his Senior Year. While representing the Baylor Bears in the Southwest Conference, Kevin captured two 3rd place finishes and one 2nd place finish, qualifying himself for the NCAA Championships his Senior Year. As well, Kevin was a 1st place finisher in the 400IH in 1991 at the Texas Relays and Drake Relays. At the conclusion of his athletic eligibility, Kevin remained on with the Track Team as Undergraduate Assistant Coach working with the hurdlers.
Upon graduation, Kevin returned to the Hill Country, attending Southwest Texas State University, currently Texas State University. It was there, in 1997, he received a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy. Kevin has been practicing Outpatient Orthopaedics since 1997 in the cities of New Braunfels, San Marcos, Lockhart, and finally Kyle, where he and his wife, Jessica, currently reside with their family.
Kevin furthered his professional skills by completing course work through the McKenzie Institute (courses A through D), the International Academy of Orthopaedics Medicine (IAOM) and Graston Techniques. Future educational plans include completing the IAOM coursework for his extremity Certification of Manual Therapy (COMT). Since graduation from PT school, Kevin has dreamed of opening his own Outpatient Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine facility, placing a strong emphasis on providing quality and individualized patient care for the athletes and citizens of the Kyle / Buda area.
Kevin’s personal life includes spending time with his family, attending church, hunting, camping, participating in various sports, and attending high school and collegiate athletic events.
