DESCRIPTION:The City of Kyle invites the public to join city leaders\, distinguished guests\, and community partners for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and "Grand Opening Block Party" celebrating the completion of the Marketplace Avenue Extension Project   the first of eight major road projects approved in the 2022 Kyle Road Bond.\n\n\n	Event Date: July 31\, 2025\n	Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.\n	Location: Marketplace Avenue. Parking during the event will be available on-site at 19121 Marketplace Avenue. \n\n\nThe Marketplace Avenue project adds 0.6 miles of new roadway\, connecting the northern and southern segments of Marketplace Avenue and creating a continuous corridor through the heart of Kyle. As part of this project\, the existing segment from FM 1626 to Old Bridge Trail has been widened to match the new construction\, enhancing safety\, access\, and overall connectivity in the area.\n\nMarketplace Avenue is the first project to break ground under the 2022 Kyle Road Bond\, overwhelmingly approved by voters in November 2022. Known as Proposition A\, the bond funds eight transportation projects totaling 10.3 miles of new construction\, reconstruction\, and roadway widening designed to:\n\n\n	Increase roadway capacity to support current and future traffic.\n	Improve east-west connectivity throughout the city.\n	Construct vital links in the Vybe trail system.\n\n\nThe Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be followed by a family-friendly block party\, featuring music\, food vendors\, local organizations\, and a chance for residents to walk or bike the new stretch of roadway. Parking will be available onsite.\n\nResidents\, media\, and visitors are encouraged to come celebrate this exciting moment to mark Kyle's commitment to keep citizens moving.
