SUMMARY:Operation: Hats Off For Veterans
DESCRIPTION:Founded in 2005 and originally called Hats Off For Hospice\, the goal was to raise funds to fulfill local hospice patient's end-of-life wishes. Thanks to so many supporters in the community\, many wishes were fulfilled including hot air balloon rides\, fancy meals\, and many family portraits. \n\nAs the fundraiser grew over the years\, the need to help our local veterans and their families increased. After further discussion with our sponsors and partners\, it was agreed that Hats Off For Hospice would become Operation: Hats Off For Veterans (O:HOFV). \n\nThe goal is to help local veterans and their families\, so the fundraiser was adopted by the Kyle VFW Post #12058\, a nonprofit organization. A hundred percent of the proceeds from O:HOFV benefits their Veteran Services program.\n\nThis fundraiser has grown to become part of the Hays County community for 18 years. Music artists who have performed include Stoney LaRue\, Charlie Robison\, Turnpike Troubadours\, Roger Creager\, Two Tons of Steel\, Bart Crow Band\, Cory Morrow\, Bob Schneider\, Reckless Kelly\, and many more! \n\nOur veterans sacrifice so much for our country\, so we want to be there for them when they need us. \n\n\n	This is a BYOB event for anyone 21 and older.\n	Feel free to bring coolers\, chairs\, and tents. \n	NO PETS ALLOWED EXCEPT SERVICE DOGS. \n	Please use our hashtag: #OHOFV.
