Event Coordinator - Salary/Bonus Eligible - Full Time Employee - Remote Employee - Travel
MISSION: Foster deep consumer relationships through the planning and execution of APS sponsored events within the Olympic movement.
Manage a portfolio of events sponsored by APS. Key responsibilities to include:
- Event Product Need Analysis/Planning, Ordering
- Event Logistics Planning—Staffing, Logistics
- Travel and associated planning for events team
- Event Set up, execution of on-site sales, tear down
- Cash Management
- Sales, inventory, manage Square Set up, retail taxes, post-event reporting
- Manage on site relationship with NGB
- Serve as the first point of contact for APS / Nike at events
- Work from home but will have substantial domestic travel (40-60 events per year)
Acquire, follow-up and maintain relationships with team sales leads from events. Ensure Team Sales leads get to the correct Team Sales Manager.
Support manager with critical information on item sell through at events, and support inventory planning for ecommerce sales related to sponsored properties / partners.
Assist Account Manager of the Event Governing body (USA Weightlifting, USA Wrestling, USA Fencing, etc.) by communicating needs of organization and helping to fulfill needs for Events and beyond. Maintain and build relationships with these governing bodies.
Technical/Professional Knowledge - Working knowledge of the following: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet Search tools and techniques, and phone.
Industry Knowledge –Sports consumer centric communications skills. Consumer product experience in the sports industry is a plus.
Resource Efficiency/Multi-Tasking –Ability to handle multiple projects with conflicting timelines/due dates, work under aggressive time frames, prioritize workload daily.
Tact/Diplomacy – Cross cultural sensitivity, international business protocols, professional appearance, conduct, and communication.

Physical & Technical Environment: Work from home with substantial domestic travel (40-60 events per year)
Education & Industry Exposure: Bachelors or graduate degree preferred
Technical Background: Proficiency on software such as MS office suite, photoshop or equivalent
Service Track Record : Positive references from previous employers/customers. Elite athletic background a plus.
