This Summer’s Campaign: Welcome to the Island
Thirty years ago, a ship bound for a new land was thrown off course by a terrible storm. Survivors found refuge on a mysterious chain of islands—and over time, they built a new society rooted in cooperation and resilience. But the archipelago still holds secrets, ancient mysteries, and untamed wilds.

Meet Amanda, Our Summer D&D Camp Dungeon Master!
Amanda Counter-Tubbs brings heart, experience, and a love for storytelling to the table. A local mom of three, she's been playing Dungeons & Dragons since 2019—originally as a way to connect with other parents and build community. That spark has since grown into a passion for running games with kids, and we’re thrilled to have her lead our summer camps this year.
By day, Amanda works as an ASL interpreter with nearly two decades of experience in educational settings from Pre-K to university. At the table, she creates neuroaffirming spaces where all kids are welcome and encouraged to explore their creativity.
Amanda believes D&D offers more than just adventure—it builds real-world skills like math, teamwork, patience, creative thinking, and social development. For many kids, it’s a stepping stone into other hobbies like reading, painting minis, building terrain, and even writing their own stories.
Check out how Amanda plays with her own kids and others at @DnDnFamily on Instagram.
