Highly experienced in media writing and public relations, Charles Kaufman is a Senior Lecturer who teaches a variety of courses including Public Relations Campaigns and Writing for Mass Media. He serves as the faculty adviser for Bobcat Promotions, the student-led public relations firm, and has coached the School's Bateman team to national honors.
His 16-year daily newspaper career includes stints as an editor and writer for the Arkansas Gazette and Business Editor and, subsequently, Assistant Marketing Services Director for the Austin American-Statesman.
Kaufman owns and operates the corporate communications and publishing firm, Kaufman Communications, a consulting company he founded in 1989. He is the author of "IdeaPower," published by Kendall Hunt, 2014; and a co-author of "Engaging Public Relations: A Creative Planning Approach," also published by Kendall Hunt and in its third edition.
