Ribbon Cutting for Marketplace Ave.

Kyle, TX – the new Marketplace Ave. extension opened Monday morning to the delight of many area drivers. The extension connects City Lights Blvd. with N. Burleson St. The road opened earlier than scheduled.

“By working closely with the contractor, we were able to open about a week earlier than anticipated,” City Manager Scott Sellers said.

The City of Kyle will hold a ribbon cutting at 3 p.m. to celebrate the opening of the first road under the 2013 bond package.

“We are extremely happy to announce the opening of Marketplace Ave. earlier than we thought it would be ready,” Mayor Todd Webster said. “This is a win for city residents and downtown merchants alike.”

The ribbon cutting, which will take place near the intersection of Marketplace and City Lights, will include guest speakers and a short ceremony. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be rescheduled. Please check the city’s social media for updates.
