Starlight Symphony Orchestra to Present “Surprise, Excitement and Too Funny”
The Starlight Symphony Orchestra presents “Experience Musical Inspirations through Emotions – Surprise, Excitement and Too Funny.” The concerts are Saturday, May 16, at 4:00 pm at the Cypress Creek Church, 211 Stillwater Rd., Wimberley, TX; and Sunday, May 17, at 7:30 pm at the Hays Performing Arts Center, 979 Kohlers Crossing, Kyle, TX. This program is full of quirky antics that will be spackled among the great works of funny musical art—including Peter Schickele’s (aka PDQ Bach) Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Sportscast; Leroy Anderson’s The Typewriter and Bugler’s Holiday; Haydn’s Surprise Symphony, Movement 2; as well as other fun works called Remote Control and What’s Up at the Symphony? Bugs Bunny’s Greatest Hits.
This concert and all SSO concerts are open to the public and free; however donations are appreciated to meet the expenses associated with their performances.
