How to Use Social Media to Grow Your Business
The Kyle Chamber will be hosting a social media workshop on May 22nd at the Kyle City Council Chambers.
Guest Speaker: Jill Brockmann
Jill is an award-winning Adjunct Associate Professor at Austin Community College (ACC) and co-creator of the Social Media Communication Associate Degree program at ACC. She was awarded the ACC Teaching Excellence Award 2013 for Adjunct Faculty (ACC Adjunct Faculty of the Year) and is a 2013 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award winner.
She created and teaches three certificates for Social Media Strategies and Analyzation for Medgar Evers College Adult & Continuing Education of The City University of New York.
She has a degree in Technical Communication and she is a contributing author of "A Guide to Writing as an Engineer," Fourth Edition (Wiley & Sons, Inc.), where her writing focuses on the fundamentals of building a cohesive online reputation as an engineer by using various social media platforms. She also contributed to the best-selling book, "The Zen of Social Media Marketing," (BenBellaBooks 2013) by Shama Kabani, where she compiled a college-level chapter focused on important questions pertaining to social media strategies in the classroom.
Brockmann is the creator and instructor of the Social Media Certificate Program for the Texas Association of Nonprofit Organizations. She is also a faculty member of the Certificate of Nonprofit Leadership Management program at the Center for Community-Based and Nonprofit Organizations in Austin, Texas.
