Poetry Reading at Katherine Anne Porter House
Visiting writers’ events scheduled for fall 2014 and spring 2015. Katherine Anne Porter Literary Center readings are held at the Katherine Anne Porter Literary Center in Kyle, Texas. The series is sponsored by Texas State University’s Department of English, the Lindsey Literary Series, the Burdine Johnson Foundation, and the Katherine Anne Porter Literary Center. The readings are free and open to the public.
Kim Barnes's first memoir, In the Wilderness: Coming of Age in Unknown Country, was a Pulitzer Prize finalist, received the PEN/Jerard Fund Award, and the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Award. Her second memoir, Hungry for the World, was a Borders Books New Voices Selection. She is the author of three novels: Finding Caruso; A Country Called Home, winner of the 2009 PEN Center USA Award in Fiction; and In the Kingdom of Men. A former Idaho-Writer-in-Residence, she now teaches in the Master of Fine Arts Creative Writing program at the University of Idaho.Poetry Reading at Katherine Anne Port...Date and Time
